Toolangi Bioblitz

Join us and a team of experts on Saturday November 22nd to discover and document the rich biodiversity of “The Nest”, Toolangi.

In this forest over the past year we have witnessed Platypus and Barred Galaxia (fish) swimming the creeks, Sooty Owls and Yellow-bellied Gliders shrieking at the moon, and Greater Gliders in greater numbers than we have ever seen. These species are all listed from vulnerable to critically endangered. But we need your help to further document the biodiversity values of this area, because “The Nest” is scheduled to be burnt by the Victorian Government.

Learn from experts on topics ranging from fire behaviour, to moss, to moths, to nocturnal fauna. Data collected will help to highlight the significance of this incredibly beautiful and biodiverse area and assist in our campaign to stop planned burn HR-MUR-TLG-0011.

There will be sessions on different topics throughout the day and into the night:

Session One: 10am - 1pm

lunch (BYO)

Session Two: 2pm - 5pm

dinner (BYO)

Night session: 6:30pm - 10pm

Come for just one, or stay for all three! Sign-up for specific sessions will be done on the day.

Bookings essential! Click here to get your tickets.
