Rally: Save Tanglefoot walking track from logging

The forest surrounding the renowned Tanglefoot walking track in Toolangi is scheduled for logging.

On April 9 at 2pm we will hold a peaceful rally at the Tanglefoot picnic area to stand up for the places that we love, and say no to 8 more years of native forest logging!

The Victorian government wants to drag out native forest logging until 2030. This industry does not make money, it is operating at a taxpayer-funded loss.

Keeping VicForests on life support for 8 more years will cost Victoria just under $200 million dollars.

It will cost our climate.

It will cost the lives of threatened species.

It will cost our water supplies.

It will cost Victorians some of our most beloved places.

Unless we make our voices heard this iconic and significant Tanglefoot forest in Toolangi will be smashed to feed the paper mill (yep that’s right, 86% of native forests logged in Victoria are pulped or chipped).

The Great Tree Project’s epic and beautiful 80m eco-dyed Mountain Ash will be unveiled at the rally.
